Step 1 – Set your objectives

“How can I contribute to the goals of Area Wide Management?”

It may seem simple, but understanding the goals of Area Wide Management activities in your area is a key starting point. It will help you contribute effectively to existing programs. Potential objectives include suppressing pests, reducing damaged fruit, reducing pesticide use, and helping your community’s horticulture industry. Contact your Qfly regional coordinator or local council for further information on Qfly control and Area Wide Management activities in your town. By contributing to a wider program, you should be able to see and quantify benefits for yourself, such as increased amount of fruit and veg not damaged by Qfly.
